Payment wins for PCR testing and Medi Hotel Allowance

20 July 2022

ANMF (SA Branch) members have had a great win in relation to Shared Services payments for PCR testing and the Medi Hotel Allowance.

Those nurses who worked in Medi Hotels will finally be financially compensated for their time when PCRs were undertaken on days off.

The excessive delay in processing the payments has been related to ongoing operational challenges within Shared Services.

The ANMF (SA Branch) wrote to the Honourable Steven Mullighan MP (Treasurer) in relation to continuing delays with member payments. He has since assured the ANMF (SA Branch) that payments will be processed by Sunday 31 July 2022.

Members should receive correspondence from Shared Services shortly if they are entitled to this payment.

“Our members had made considerable effort to ensure the safety of the South Australian community by taking PCR tests on their days off,’’ ANMF (SA Branch) CEO/Secretary Adj Associate Professor Elizabeth Dabars AM said.

“We wrote to SA Health and the Treasurer and formally requested that they recognise the incredible effort of our members working tirelessly on the frontline.

“We welcome this latest development and congratulate members in helping to bring this matter to a positive outcome.’’
