Following concerns from members about vaccination stock in regional areas, the ANMF (SA Branch) has been advised that three main clinic locations are set to be established in the next few weeks in Port Pirie, Clare and Wallaroo for Pfizer vaccinations for people under 50.
People over 50 can access the AstraZeneca (AZ) vaccine at GP Respiratory Clinics in Kadina and Clare.
ANMF has been advised that many of the Local Health Network (LHN) clinics, which will open in all major regional areas in the coming week, will offer a combination of both Pfizer and AZ vaccinations.
In addition, the Commonwealth has awarded many GPs more AZ doses so there may be increased availability in the GP network.
SA Health is also distributing some additional AZ to the GP network in a once-off allocation (exactly where this will be allocated has not yet been determined).
