Call for feedback on $86 million health plan

3 July 2020

The Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) Southern Health Expansion Plan Consultation Paper is open for consultation and is available on the SALHN intranet.

The $86 million Southern Health Expansion Plan (SHEP) is a series of clinical service moves across SALHN. It is reported to be a significant boost with more clinical services and greater access, in particular for Flinders Medical Centre, the Repat Health Precinct and Noarlunga Hospital.

It will increase the clinical services at Noarlunga Hospital, increase the size of the Flinders Medical Centre Emergency Department and co-locate dementia services together at the Repat Health Precinct.

As part of the consultation process, staff are encouraged to provide feedback via email to [email protected] by 9am Monday, 20 July 2020.

SALHN says SHEP provides it with an opportunity to recruit more medical, nursing and allied health staff.

Some staff may be required to relocate with their services across SALHN or otherwise through an Expression of Interest (EOI) process.

SALHN says employees will be provided with support and assistance through the change process with access to the Employee Assistance Program.
