Interested In Joining The SA Health Practitioners Tribunal?

With more than half of the current members of the South Australian Health Practitioners Tribunal (the Tribunal) reaching the end of their appointment period this year, expressions of interest are being sought for appointment to the health practitioner panel of the Tribunal.

The Tribunal was established under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (South Australia) Act 2010 to hear disciplinary proceedings against health practitioners registered under the National Law and appeals from persons against a decision of
the national health regulatory board. Further details about the Tribunal are available here .

To be eligible for appointment to the panel of health practitioners, you must:

* hold general registration under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (South Australia) Act 2010;
* have no conditions recorded on your registration;
* have not been the subject of any previous disciplinary proceedings; and
* not be serving on any committee, panel or similar of a national health profession regulatory board.
Appointments to the panel of health practitioners will be for a period of up to three
years, and eligible persons serving on the Tribunal will be remunerated for their time.
