Report released on review of nursing at Breast Screen SA

The outcomes of a review of Nursing at Breast Screen SA (BSSA) have been detailed in a report just released. View the report here .

The review was undertaken to provide recommendations in regards to a number of aspects of the nursing structure, including to:

  • consider and make recommendations on the operational and professional reporting lines of the BSSA nursing team, including options of reporting within other directorates (e.g. SA Medical Imaging)
  • assess and make recommendations on the workload and assigned FTE for the BSSA nursing team
  • assess and make recommendations that the BSSA nursing team are working within their scope of practice, and the classifications that are assigned to roles are in line with the NMEA16; and
  • provide an updated organisational chart for the nursing team, detailing any proposed changes to FTE, reporting lines and skills levels as determined above.
