Several months ago, members at a Red Cross Donor Centre noticed they were missing some annual leave, owed to them for working a certain number of Saturdays and/or public holidays.
While members at the site raised the issue internally, ANMF (SA Branch) Officers raised the issue with Human Resources who followed up with payroll to rectify the issue and repay the leave owed.
As a result of member action, the leave balance of nine members was adjusted by an additional 2.5 to 3 days of annual leave—equivalent to hundreds of dollars in paid time per member.
