Midwife accreditation standards review now open

30 May 2019

Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC) has commenced consulting over the review of the Midwife Accreditation Standards (2014) to ensure they remain contemporary and aligned with Australian and international best practice.

The standards—which are being reviewed in line with ANMAC’s Protocol for the review and development of accreditation standards—are used to assess and accredit entry to practice Midwife programs of study.

Members are encouraged to provide feedback by answering the questions posed in consultation paper 1, which can be done via:

  • this online survey; or
  • completing a formal written submission that is:
  • accompanied by a completed written submission form;
  • a .docx or .pdf file; and
  • responding to the questions in the consultation paper, rather than providing a general response.

To contribute to the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (SA Branch)’s submission, please provide your feedback responding to the questions in the consultation paper by 1 July to [email protected]

Should you prefer to respond directly to ANMAC, the closing date for submissions is Wednesday 10 July. Written submissions can be lodged by email to [email protected] or post to:
