Join Us At The May Day March To Change The Rules For Aged Care – Sat 4 May, 10am, Vic Square

2 May 2019

May Day, or International Workers Day, is a day with its origins in fighting for an eight-hour work day. Each year, International Workers Day is a time to recognise and celebrate the achievements of workers uniting together to change the rules.

It is a timely reminder that the courage of workers stepping up to change the rules then is just critically important now.

Join the thousands of workers coming together at this year’s May Day March taking a stand to protect workers’ rights. With an election just around the corner, this year’s march is particularly important as workers’ rights continue to come under attack by the current government.

This year, the ANMF (SA Branch) is dedicating our May Day marching to change the rules in aged care…for the elderly who are continuing to suffer and our exhausted Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Personal Care Workers who have, for too long, been expected to perform the impossible in a chronically under-staffed sector.

Bring your family and friends and your aged care campaign t-shirt (limited supply available on the day).
