ANMF SA seeks reconsideration of North Adelaide parking restrictions

29 August 2019

As a follow up to our earlier correspondence to the Adelaide City Council (ACC) regarding the shortening of parking timeframes in North Adelaide, the ANMF (SA Branch) has again written to the ACC seeking reconsideration of its decision.

The ANMF (SA Branch) has advised the ACC of our continuing concerns about the impact of the changes on staff and visitors to the health precincts in North Adelaide.

Following recent discussions with the hospitals, the ANMF (SA Branch) has particularly sought the ACC to reconsider the time restrictions placed on parking in Bundeys Road as a measure that could positively assist staff in the hospitals without creating the same risks associated with parking closer to the commercial precinct in the CBD.

The correspondence follows advice to the ANMF (SA Branch) that parking in the Bundeys Road area is now underutilised and, because of its distance from health services, difficult to use where movement of vehicles or additional payments are necessary.

We will advise members of the response from the ACC once received.
