About the Role:
The Administration Officer will provide essential support within the Australian Nursing & Midwifery Education Centre (ANMEC) team, contributing across all programs. This role combines student administration, course coordination, program delivery support and compliance tasks, making it a varied and rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing multiple priorities.

The Administration Officer will handle enrolments, maintain accurate records, prepare course materials, manage databases, and assist with student placements. You will also play a pivotal role in assisting our concierge desk providing excellent customer service and Centre-wide administration.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service and contribute to the promotion of ANMEC services (in accordance with policy) to students and prospective students including updating course flyers
  • Respond to student enquiries in a timely and professional manner including helping to monitor the ANMEC training electronic mailbox
  • Coordinate enrolment of students, including credit transfer (CT) or recognition of prior learning (RPL) if required.
  • Assist with the course set-up requirements, such as the training timetable, class attendance rolls, and session pack preparation
  • Maintain student academic files in accordance with set standards, including support of audit processes
  • Assisting with the upfront assessment of needs, for literacy, language and numeracy (LLN) for potential students
  • Support the Business Administrator to manage deferral and withdrawal processes.
  • Processing parchments, statement of attainments and certificates.
  • Manage and maintain compliance registers including facilitating updates of policy, procedures, work instructions and other master documents.
  • Work with concierge staff to ensure a high quality of customer service to students, visitors and other staff.
  • Provide concierge services as required, in accordance with established procedures. This includes face-to-face, telephone, and mail support, ensuring that all queries are responded to appropriately and consistently


About You:
We are seeking a passionate and vibrant individual who:

  • Demonstrates experience in administration, ideally within a training, education, or health-related organisation.
  • Has practical knowledge of student management systems such as VETtrak (or similar), with confidence in database management and reporting.
  • Has high-level computer literacy, particularly across Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide excellent client service across diverse groups.
  • Proven organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, use initiative, and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, record-keeping, and document preparation.
  • A team-focused approach, balanced with the ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Hold a current DHS Working with Children Check (WWCC) or have the ability to obtain one.

The Administration Officer position is offered as a ASO 2-3 classification range, in accordance with the ANMF (SA Branch) Employees Agreement. This role is offered as a permanent position, with a minimum requirement of 4 days per week (32 hours p/wk). Flexible work arrangements, including the option for either part-time or full-time hours are negotiable for the successful candidate.
