Register for the ANMF (SA Branch) and Crime Stoppers SA safety campaign

After launching in July 2020, many local and regional South Australian hospitals and health care sites have chosen to take part in the Crime Stoppers SA and ANMF (SA Branch) safety campaign.

This campaign aims to combat escalating violence against nurses, midwives and personal care workers by creating a safer working environment.

If your workplace would like to become involved the ANMF (SA Branch), in partnership with Crime Stoppers SA, can provide prominent signage free of charge.

Signs can be easily erected in and around car parks, reception and consult areas, allowing staff and visitors to anonymously share what they know about unsolved crimes and suspicious activity.

Your workplace can become a Crime Stopper by downloading an order form here, alternatively completing the online document here.

This extends not only to safety issues within your workplace, but also any security concerns you have when arriving at and leaving the site.

If you have any safety or security concerns, follow your normal reporting procedures, e.g., informing a manager or lodging a report via SLS/Riskman, etc.

If you see a crime occurring or need police assistance, call 000 in an emergency or 131 444 to have police attend.

For anyone who has information about an unsolved crime or suspicious behaviour they can contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report at www.crimestoppers.com.au.

* Authority from the CEO or Director of Nursing of your workplace must be in place prior to ordering signage.
